Cheese Home-made BRINZA Brinza tiek gatavota no kvalitatīva govs piena, kas iegūts tepat Latvijā – mūsu zemnieku saimniecībās. Siera raksturīgākā īpašība ir sāļums. Pēc konsistences tas ir mīksts un viendabīgs, tam nav garozas. Brinza ir bagāta ar minerālvielām, vitamīniem, sāļiem un olbaltumvielām.
Brinza labi papildina svaigus dārzeņu salātus, tā var būt kā labs pildījums pīrādziņiem. Brinzu var gatavot arī cepeškrāsnī (ietinot to folijā), kas īpaši izcels brinzas garšas īpatnības.

The Mozzarella is produced by top quality Latvian cow’s milk with no additives such as hormones or antibiotics and with high protein content. The small-sized mits of Mini Mozzarella are easy to turn into dishes for all occasions. Serve them as a starter for Your guests with some sun-dried tomatoes garnished with basil pesto or make a quick and healthy salad for Yourself with cut-up tomatoes olive oil and a bit of balsamic vinegar for a unique flavour.

Cheese ĶIMEŅU (with cumin) Ancient Latvian Midsummer traditionssee cheese making as an integral part of festivities. The yellow Midsummer cheese wheel decorates every festive table. The yellow colour and round shape symbolize the sun, so all guests have to taste it, to have success, health and strength. Latvians made this cheese even before knowing butter. Ligo and Jāņi are one of the richest festivals in Latvia with traditions and they are celebrated during the summer solstice. Although for a lot of people they associate with traditions, such as weaving a crown, decorating of houses and fences with Midsummer plants, singing, making of bonfire, beer brewing and baking pies, cheese with cumin is what many wait for the most.Already in the 12th century. German crusaders who came to the shores of the Baltic, were struck by the Midsummer Night broad celebration with flaming bonfires in the dark and richly covered tables, for which a must was beer and cheese. Cheese served on the Midsummer festive table cheese has been given the name “Jāņu cheese” by the Latvian nation, and it is praised in folk songs for the making of Jāņu cheese is portrayed as a special ritual.
